Composition — With a wink Blanca Amorós's works portray daily life – now and again objective, however, mostly of emotional nature, tenderly depicted. The young Spanish artist proves a remarkable sense of touch for capturing exceptional moments of life shrouded in everyday magic.
Arranging her works as part of a sensitive composition not only the overall impression gains depth, but also the appeal of each individual piece is intensified. Those paintings give insights into everyday subjects and presenting observers the opportunity of discovering themselves inside of them, or even satisfying unconscious voyeuristic needs.
Due to a sensitively chosen colour spectrum the composition holds a barely notable yet harmonising atmosphere. At the same time the artist does not present naturalistic colouration. She rather stages an almost cinematic scenery.
By the means of a well arranged composition assembled of works of different dimensions, the artist conveys a family environment for the observer to dive into. As part of the exhibition this sensation is to be invigorated by purposely tailoring the composition to the architectural environment the gallery's premisses provide. Three U-shaped walls - two of which facing one-another - showcase Blanca Amorós's works. This positioning provides observers with the opportunity, by their presence, closing off that intimate room and becoming part of the work itself.
