Christoph Neumann, born 1982 in Lüdenscheid, lives and works in Berlin. The award-winning photographer works for Die Zeit, among others, and has already had countless well-known personalities from film, music, television and politics in front of his lens, which he always portrays honestly in their peculiarity. A characteristic feature is the use of hard flash light, which shamelessly illuminates the model, but also evokes cold shadows. His pictorial language is highly individual, often bizarre and always very strong in character. His photographic works are loud and extraorbitant, unmistakable and unconventional. The same is reflected in the artist's own presentation on the exhibition wall. The works on display range from still lifes to complete abstraction and represent a very personal reference to the theme of the exhibition.
The selection of works from the exhibition ›Addicted. From obsession, fetish and sanctuaries‹ contains set pieces of the artist duo ›Friedrich Neumann‹
